Wire Rope Selection

Wire ropes are mainly used for lifting. And some places that involve lifting are essential items, and there is no substitute.

Wire ropes are widely used, and they can only be used for wire ropes of typical equipment of typical structures.

1. On the mining hoist, try to use the line contacted wire rope. If the reel is relatively large, it is more suitable for the mine to use the facial contacted wire rope and linear contact lay wire rope.  Mining considers facial contacted wire ropes, such as 6*36SW. This is wear resistant and flexible.

2. Tower cranes, cranes, because the reels are relatively small, the round-up hoisting is also more powerful, try to use non-rotation, such as 35W*7, 18*7 very good.

3. If the crane is used, the 4V triangle strand wire rope is also selected for mining. If the cost and wire rope technology are considered, the 6*29Fi Linear contact lay wire rope can also be considered.

4. traveling overhead crane, gantry and other cranes try to use multi-layer non-rotating wire ropes, because these equipment require smooth and safe lifting process. However, the wire rope for lifting is still the old model 6*37, which is still better.

5. If galvanized steel wire rope is selected, hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope is definitely better than cold-galvanized steel wire rope. Because cold plating is only plated on the surface. The corrosion resistance is not as good as the without coating oiled steel wire rope.
